Wakefield Hockey Club

Wakefield Hockey Club has Ladies, Mens, Mixed and Junior Sections. The club has recently attained the status of Yorkshire Regional Hockey Academy - of which there are only 10 centres in the country. The club has a water-based pitch and superb facilities, enabling all players to develop their game on a world class surface.

A wide range of abilities is catered for with:

  • 5 league teams in the Ladies Section (moving from Yorkshire League hockey to National North East Feeder League)
  • 7 league teams in the Mens Section (from Yorkshire League hockey to North East Division 2 League)
  • 2 mixed teams (currently winners of the Yorshire League Premier Division) who play on Sundays
  • and a wide range of Boys' and girls' teams at Under 10's, Under 12's, Under 14's and Under 16's levels who are entered in the Yorkshire Youth Hockey Leagues and compete on a monthly basis throughout the season
