Travelling Experiences

A first year Leeds Met student around the world travelling experiences:
The adventure began on March 20th 2006 having booked an around the world ticket for 4 ½ months. 3 close girlfriends came along for company. Thailand was the first stop - what a beautiful and amazing country!! The plane landed, and journey began, in Bangkok, this proved a slight culture shock as arrival was on one of the hottest days on record! Thailand has some of the most beautiful natural sights and can make you feel that you are in paradise! Anyone who has been to Thailand will have heard about the full moon party in Koh Phang Phan, this is held every month on the full moon and 25,000 people turn up to simply party throughout the whole night into the early hours of the morning .... and they do! The beach proved to be a good venue! So from riding elephants to hiking mountains and eating unusual things, Thailand is truly a fantastic place!!
On from Thailand was Malaysia and Singapore where you can complete a scuba diving course and trek through the jungle (both personally experienced) in addition to some major retail therapy on Orchard street in Singapore! This beats any shopping centre in England ever! After living off market stalls for 2 months, 'proper' shops is pure bliss!! And such a clean city too quite a bizarre site!
The east coast of Australia was next on the travel agenda, for 5 weeks. You can hire camper vans if you are keen to do some driving and make your own way down the coast. 4 girls in a toy story van had the best 2 weeks!! Sydney is one the best city's and has such an amazing atmosphere about it! You can walk around or take the ferry and see the amazing sights - the harbour bridge does make an amazing picture!!
Frasier Island was one of the best 3 days in the world!!! What more could you want than 74 miles of sand, a 4x4 jeep that holds ten people and a hell of a lot of goon!!! A totally new camping experience!
New Zealand, next on the agenda, was the most picturesque beautiful country you will ever see!! From peaceful beaches to rocky terrains and glaciers!! Something for everyone. Jumping out of a plane at 12,00 ft and climbing a Ice Glacier are just 2 things that you can experience. Sky diving over Lake Taupo in the North Island in New Zealand is the cheapest and best place to do it!!! An experience you will never forget!!
Fiji was the final destination which offered plenty of relaxation. The BULA dance is something to enquire about!?
