LGBT Society

LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) is a society for all types of members, regardless of age, sex or ethnicity. The society aims to help as many people as we can.

Membership:

£2 a year (this includes a card to get you into Mission for free on gay nights)

Meetings:

These happen every week, with a meeting for all members one week, followed by just the committee members the weeks after, and so on. In the meetings, anything can be discussed, including demonstrations, nights and weekends out, up and coming events, pride, and a hot topic at the minute are LGBT hoodies.

Activities:

The LGBT society holds regular pub crawls, mixers with Leeds Uni LGBT and other such events. We hold regular trips away, and we are please to host our regular "LGBT film night" which happens once a month at the Electric Press, and shows films of a gay/lesbian nature. We also have counselling sessions available, with male and female officers, to talk about anything you wish. We take part in demonstrations, and protests, but we also enjoy raising money for the society to have a damn good time.

The Committee (2006/07):

President – Cris,

Secretary – Tom,

Social Secretary – Andy/Rosheen,
