Entertainment

Entertainment is a recreational activity that is broadly passive on behalf of the participants (those being entertained), and broadly active on behalf of the hosts (the entertainers). Entertainment is not the same as leisure (which is broadly active on behalf the participants) although some aspects of the entertainment industry do share traits and characteristics with the leisure industry.
