Donating Computers
From TheStudentWiki
In recent years there has been a move to improve the enviroment through green computing. Many councils across the United Kingdom have decided that instead of increasing the capacity of landfill sites they aim to conduct lots more recycling and recovery to prevent environment harm. This doesn't only include what you would usually expect like fridges but computers. Instead of throwing old unupgradable computers away there are many organisations around the United Kingdom that would be willing to recieve your old computers. Organisations such as charties and non-profitable companies are always looking for computers and computer related equpiment that nobody wants anymore.
A List of organisations can be found below:
Computer Aid International

Microsoft have also devised a scheme to help and encourage the vast population to donate both computers and equipment to organisations. This scheme can be found here, http://www.microsoft.com/Education/TenTips.mspx.
